SCBWI's Blueboard (https://www.scbwi.org/boards/index.php) is a message and chat board where members can explore and participate in threads relating to all aspects of children's literature: contracts, marketing, web tech, manuscript and portfolio critiques and more! Check it out and stay connected…and make sure to review the basic Blueboard rules.

Ask A Lawyer Board is a service provided by SCBWI where a lawyer is available to ask your legal questions about writing and illustrating related issues, such as publishing contracts, agency agreements and other legal issues dealing with the publication industry. In the past this has been available only to PAL (published and listed) SCBWI members. It is now available to ALL SCBWI members. Be sure to check out all topics on this board before asking your question, as it may have already been asked and answered–duplicate or inappropriate questions may be deleted or moved without notice. Please DO NOT abuse this service by asking frivolous or inappropriate questions. This is an amazingly helpful service provided by SCBWI and the lawyer, Linda Joy Kattwinkel, deserves your total respect and consideration: https://www.scbwi.org/boards/index.php?topic=77647.0

If you’re published, make sure you include your books in the Bookstore. If you do school visits, make sure you’re listed in the Speaker’s Bureau. And if you’re an illustrator, put your work in the Illustrators Gallery. Go here to find out how. And be sure to share good news about new book releases or publications. SCBWI also hosts Book Launch Parties, a special forum for SCBWI members to publicize, promote and sell their books. For a $25 fee, you can purchase a page, design and individualize it yourself, populate it with photos, videos, reviews and even a contest. Your page will put forward what you'd like viewers to know about your book. Every launch page will feature a "Buy" button where viewers can connect to Amazon, Indie Bound or your website to buy the book.

Looking forward to meeting you at an upcoming event!
